Pastor Dan Stroman
Leading our church since 2003, Pastor Dan Stroman is a down-to-earth, rural preacher that loves hunting and other outdoor activities. He fits right in with our rural area and community. If a farmer needs a field plowed, Pastor Dan jumps right in to help; he's a jack-of-all-trades. He previously preached at Four Holes Baptist Church in Four Holes, South Carolina. Dan and his wife, Kathy, have three sons. All pitch in and work as needed. They are a wonderful family and we enjoy having them as our Leader

About Us
Our lovely building has come a long way from the little wooden church with the pitcher pump in the yard, but the inspiration it gives keeps its vigil.

You can easily find us close to the intersection of US 21 and 217 West; we are 1/4 miles from Smoaks Crossroads.

→ We Always Welcome Gladys Lyons Alch

Her grandfather, John Simeon Lyons, was among the first pastors of Smoaks Baptist Church, and her family has a cemetery at the church.

THE OLD CHURCH ON THE HILL

The church stands proudly on a hill.

It is a place where people go to pray.

Next to the tennis court,

Buckhead Swamp lines the way.

God knows all the secrets

Confessed at this old church.

Christians leave them at the alter-

All their sadness-All their hurts.

The church proudly carries a legacy.

Forefathers once occupied the pews.

Neighbors mingle after the sermon

and leave with with spirits renewed.
